Ms. Neelam Shami Rao is the newly appointed Textile Secretary, the Ministry of Textiles (MoT), Government of India (GoI), replacing Rachna Shah under the stewardship of Giriraj Singh, Minister of Textiles of India (MoT), to navigate Indian textiles in these uncertain times when global trade is under the threat of emerging geopolitics and the challenge of global headwinds emanating out of a non-tariff barrier putting downward pressure on global growth and supply chain disruptions.
